GOLDEN MILK RECIPE
Also known as ‘haldi doodh’ in Ayurveda, golden milk is touted for its healing, anti-inflammatory properties largely thanks to the compound, curcumin, found in turmeric. Turmeric has been used in Ayurvedic medicine, and other rainforest cultures, for thousands of years for conditions such as joint pain, digestive issues, fatigue, stiffness, and lots more. Modern research also says that curcumin is a potent antioxidant with antimicrobial and even anticancerous effects. Although turmeric gets most of the spotlight, the other spices in golden milk are majorly supportive of the aforementioned medicinal makeup. Like ginger, cinnamon and black peppers are classics always combined with turmeric to fortify it's anti-inflammatory benefits.
