ROSE + HIBISCUS TART With Chamomile Crust

Chamomile Crust

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup powdered maple sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup plant based butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup dried Chamomile 


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Add the flour, powdered sugar, salt and chamomile to a bowl and mix together.
  3. Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Pour over the dry ingredients and stir together until evenly
  4. distributed.
  5. Press the dough along the bottom and sides of a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.
  6. Place the pan on a baking sheet and bake 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool while you make the filling.

Rose & Hibiscus Filling


  1. Add the milk, cornstarch, and maple syrup to a pan and bring to a boil while stirring constantly.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temp. Once cooled, cover and place in the fridge to cool and set completely. This should take around 4 hours.
  3. When the pudding is set you may begin working on the whipped cream mixture.
  4. Add the non dairy whipping cream, maple syrup, rose powder, and hibiscus powder to a large mixing bowl. Whisk together until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding. Stir just until fully incorporated.
  5. Fill the prepared tart shell with the filling and decorate however desired! Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
