Recipe:
Chamomile Crust
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered maple sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3/4 cup plant based butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup dried Chamomile
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Add the flour, powdered sugar, salt and chamomile to a bowl and mix together.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Pour over the dry ingredients and stir together until evenly
- distributed.
- Press the dough along the bottom and sides of a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.
- Place the pan on a baking sheet and bake 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Allow to cool while you make the filling.
Rose & Hibiscus Filling
- 2 cups plant based milk
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 cup no dairy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon tablespoon maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons Rose Powder
- 2 teaspoons Mangosteen Hibiscus Powder
Directions:
- Add the milk, cornstarch, and maple syrup to a pan and bring to a boil while stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temp. Once cooled, cover and place in the fridge to cool and set completely. This should take around 4 hours.
- When the pudding is set you may begin working on the whipped cream mixture.
- Add the non dairy whipping cream, maple syrup, rose powder, and hibiscus powder to a large mixing bowl. Whisk together until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding. Stir just until fully incorporated.
- Fill the prepared tart shell with the filling and decorate however desired! Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
