A Solar Eclipse is a turbo-charged New Moon. Generally New Moon rituals are perfect for planting new seeds and starting afresh. We are at a moment in time where overwhelming and powerful change is knocking on our collective door. We are essentially working on the blank canvas of the dark moon where our ideas can gestate in the new moon soil. But with an Eclipse, the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth therefore interrupting the flow of energy and causing disruption. Mars is joining within a wide orb, generating a potentially aggressive and fiery tone, on a personal level, yet acting as a cosmic catalyst to the work that is being done on the collective psyche. The energy is breaking the regular and habitual behavior that our ego manifests at time, propelling a more heart-centric reality in all of us. 2
The pathway of this Total Solar Eclipse is also directly across the United States of America, starting in Oregon and ending in South Carolina. Even though we will all feel the effects, it seems that the US as a whole is receiving the biggest impact on the beginning (and great ending) of a cycle. 3
The ancients believed that during a Solar Eclipse, the light of the Sun would give way to the darkness in order to be transformed.This momentary darkness was believed to be a highly spiritual and awakening moment that would help the Sun to return even brighter and stronger in the sky.
To aid in this awakening process, the ancients believed that divinely inspired information from higher realms would be sent down to Earth during the window of the Eclipse. In fact, the ancients believed that when a Solar Eclipse fell in the sign of Leo it indicated that there would be some ‘enlightening’ message regarding the King.

Although many believe that experiencing the dark side of the moon might mean negative or evil connotations, and it is not exactly true. I do believe that the fall of the empire is in process, and this is truly the beginning of the end of the corrupt world. The Moon embodies the Queen, representing the rise of the feminine mind, in all of us. Many astrologers are turning their eyes to the US system, as being the grand American eclipse, signaling profound change to the darkness of the system.

Archetypally speaking the Sun symbolizes our ego identity, our I AM consciousness. When the unconscious, the Moon, blocks out the ego-consciousness, we see the entirety of the shadow with complete clarity. Right now take the time to witness all judgements or projections, as they are signaling key elements that require evolution within your Self. Under this alignment, we also get to see remnants of our Soul, and how it actively animates aspects of our Ego due to habit or inherited karmic patterning. Be brave and be selfless, as those elements that might still be alive need to be relinquished.
These changes will not be visible immediately today, as this Eclipse has a veil like effect that can shield us from seeing the full story. It is often that we see the changes happening soon after the energies die down a bit. This eclipse is signaling a profound ending and beginning, catalyzing immense amounts of clarity. Stay aware, take the time to do breath-work, and meditate on the tides that rise and fall within your emotional mind.
At best, the effect of a solar Eclipse can amplify insights gained from a very balanced left and right brain. Eclipses are very good at showing up any imbalances you currently have. The amount of wobble that happens within today and this week, shows how much centering you need to do. A Solar Eclipse can bring an awakening or a shocking revelation that rocks you to the core. It aims to balance out left and right brain hemispheres and therefore consciousness, so that you are not lopsided. Furthermore, under this Solar Eclipse, Mercury is retrograde and will continue to be until September 5th. This further amplifies this idea that not all facts are going to be easy for us to access. Yet, polishing up our communication center, will generate deep clarity on what is not working and what might be out of place that needs further attention.
Under the influence, it will be important to go with the flow and not be in a hurry to make key decisions or judgements about something. Hold off on all investments you might be thinking of taking on. Make it a point to see the detailed version of the big picture vision you are holding close to you. Take it easy, and tap into the mind of your heart. This will naturally allow your intuitive mind to pour into all actions and doings on a daily basis.
One thing is for certain, after the passing of this Eclipse, the truth will slowly be revealed. This Solar Eclipse is part of a much bigger cycle, and its unfolding precisely within its own perfect timing. No matter where in the world you might be right now, your ego is getting a profound cleanse. The dark side of the moon is representing the ultimate gift to our most personal self and to the collective mind. The time is now.

12 oz hot water
2 tablespoons anima mundi coconut milk powder
2 teaspoons coconut butter
1/8 teaspoon rose water
