This focaccia brings a subtle twist to a classic loaf. Gently infused with Mangosteen Hibiscus and Golden Sun Milk powders, it bakes up soft and airy with a lightly crisp, golden crust. The slow rise invites you to move at an unhurried pace, letting the dough develop both flavor and texture.
Before baking, the surface becomes a canvas—decorate with vegetables, herbs, or edible flowers and let the process feel intuitive rather than precise. The result is a nourishing, beautiful loaf that’s equally suited for sharing or enjoying quietly at home, warm from the oven.

Bake time: 25 minutes
Yield: 1 loaf
Recipe by: Lauren May
Ingredients:
- 4 cups all-purpose unbleached flour
- 2-3 tsp kosher salt
- 1 Tbsp Mangosteen Hibiscus powder
- 1 Tbsp Golden Sun Milk powder
- 2 tsp instant (rapid rise) yeast
- 2 cups warm water (no warmer than 120°)
- Olive oil
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, salt, Mangosteen Hibiscus powder, Golden Sun Milk powder, and instant yeast. Add the water. Mix until the liquid is absorbed and the ingredients form a sticky dough ball.
2. Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl.
3. Rub the surface of the dough lightly with olive oil. Cover the bowl. Allow to rise in a warm place for two hours or overnight in the fridge.
When ready to bake:
4. Grease your 9x13 pan with olive oil. Turn the dough out into your pan and use your fingertips to stretch it to the sides evenly.
5. Allow dough to rise once more in a warm spot for 30 minutes. When the dough is almost done rising, preheat your oven to 425°F.
6. Decorate your dough with vegetables, herbs, or edible flowers. The flowers seen here were made of sweet peppers and olives. The bees were made of olives and potato wings. The mushrooms were sweet peppers, potato stems and sesame seed spots. Get creative and let your imagination guide you.
7. Bake the focaccia for 20-25 minutes or until just golden and crispy on top. Enjoy warm or store in an airtight container until ready to use.
