ARIES & THE FIRE MASTER
Envision the solar system as a colossal cosmic clock. Saturn represents our formidable “cosmic hour hand” (governing seven-year cycles), whereas Sol acts as our minute hand (ruling year and monthly cycles). Luna facilitates the role of the second hand of this scheme, counting off our weeks, days, and hours.
Saturn entered Aries on February 13th. He now awaits Sol’s joining him in this same sign, thus “triggering off” this Arian influence that will remain in situ through April 28th, 2028. The Saturn-Sol precise conjunction occurs on March 25th at 4:55 am ET but is felt strongly from the March 20th Spring Equinox.
“Fire Master” Saturn is Aries’ unwelcome guest. This Impulsive fire sign thwarts authority, and Saturn is tightly controlling. It’s boot camp for Aries and its lusty ruler, Mars! I see this as positive because Saturn tempers the steel of Mars into a useful tool. Saturn pressures us to utilize our instinctual forces with increased discernment. It’s been said that the success of an incarnation is how well Saturn controls your Mars. However, there are attendant health alerts we should all be aware of.
Saturn-in-Aries: The Head & The Heart
Saturn’s cold violet cosmic ray has moved to the head zone (Aries). This can increase the restriction of cerebral blood vessels and/or decrease oxygen to the brain. Intraocular pressure may increase. Because Libra (kidneys) stands opposite Aries, kidney function might slightly slow, increasing innate tendencies for gravel. Dryness may increase in eyes, hair, and head. The adrenal gland ’s hormones are emphasized in either direction. Androgens may decline, or enhanced stress may stimulate adrenalin or cortisol production. Hair loss is possible for those inclined.
If there was a time to support brain and eye health, this is it! Saturn in Aries spotlights arterial health, and its presence signals a time for conscious self-care and circulatory awareness. Learn more about this transit in my Monthly Medical Astrology Report.
This period presents many divergent influences. The March 3rd total eclipse of the Pisces-Virgo pole will still be hyperactive because Mars triggers the degree of that eclipse between March 17th-24th, (coincident with the Pisces New Moon of March 18th). Mars-in-Pisces inclines to activate toxin releases into the ECM, lymphatics, and bloodstream. Lymphatic supporting herbs are specifically useful at this time, as are herbs that holistically assist with liver and kidney cleansing. However, never proceed with “cleanses” without your doctor’s supervision. Additionally, the Pisces-ruled feet are now receiving Mars’ heating beams!
Subversive Mars in Pisces has a habit of creating “dirty blood”. Avoid incompatible chemical mixtures; eschew raw fish and shellfish, and remember that alcohol and opioids are potentized under these vibrations. Mars truly needs Saturn’s supervision now to maintain clear personal boundaries in all matters. Psychic shields may be in order. I more deeply discuss the effects of Pisces-Virgo axis eclipses and antidotes in my book Eclipses & You.
