Ingredients:
Dough:
- 1⁄2 cup warm milk of choice (105–110°F)
- 1 1⁄4 tsp instant yeast
- 1 egg, room temperature
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 tsp salt
- 2-2 1⁄4 cups flour
Filling:
- 1⁄4 cup butter, melted
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 1⁄2 Tbsp Happiness Powder
- 3 tsp Chaga powder
For Baking:
- 1⁄4 cup heavy cream
Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 3 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1⁄3 cup powdered sugar
- splash vanilla or maple extract
Instructions:
1. Make the dough: Mix warm milk and yeast. Add egg, butter, sugar, and salt. Gradually mix in flour until a soft, slightly tacky dough forms. Knead until smooth and elastic.
2. First rise: Cover and let rise in a warm place for 30–45 minutes, or until doubled in size.
3. Roll and fill: Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter evenly over the surface. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, Happiness Powder, and Chaga. Sprinkle evenly over the dough.
4. Shape: Roll the dough tightly and cut into 6 rolls. Place in a greased baking dish or on parchment paper.
5. Second rise: Cover and let rise again for 20–30 minutes.
6. Bake: Warm the heavy cream slightly and pour over the rolls. Bake at 350°F for 18–22 minutes, until golden and cooked through.
7. Frost: Mix frosting ingredients until smooth. Spread over warm rolls for a melty finish, or let them cool slightly for a thicker frosting. Sprinkle Happiness Powder on top.
Notes:
- Dough should be soft and slightly sticky — avoid over-flouring
- The heavy cream creates an extra gooey texture
- Best enjoyed warm
