A Full Strawberry Micromoon in the productive sign of Capricorn on June 29 kicks off the consequential month of July 2026, in which many threads woven through generations are initiated or culminating. Most remarkably, a highly unusual close alignment of growth-oriented Jupiter with the cosmic ambassadors of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto (July 19 and 20) highlights the malleable and changing role of the individual, on a personal level and in a broader context.
Mercury’s retrograde in the Moon-ruled sign of Cancer throughout July will stimulate the reconsideration of matters to do with belonging and family, bringing special attention to the emotional dimensions of decision-making. Adding unpredictability to the mix, we have the amplification of Mars’ impulsivity through his potentially explosive conjunction to Uranus on July 3, with positive potentials of courageous action and more challenging possibilities of unthinking, erratic, or reckless behavior.
Full Moon in Capricorn
Mercury Retrograde
This next Full Moon becomes energized by ambitious, practical-minded Capricorn and reaches its peak illumination on June 29 at 4:56 pm US/Pacific. We might find ourselves swimming through confusion or difficult emotions with this lunation’s dynamic T-square to the murky waters of Neptune, a possibility magnified by messenger Mercury standing still to station retrograde the very same day. This could make it easy to blow innocent miscommunications out of proportion and create unnecessary conflicts. Unreflective, unfiltered emotional communication may set off tensions that are brewing just beneath the surface. With hardworking Saturn making his own stressful T-square aspect to this lunation, some of us can expect a big reminder of the tasks or projects we need to complete or the promises we need to keep.

Mars Conjunct Uranus, Sextile Neptune & Trine Pluto
The rebellious, loud and proud Mars-Uranus conjunction in Gemini (July 3) could add its own brand of chaos to the Full Moon, as our efforts may be scattered and we find it hard to focus from June 23 to August 11, while Mars travels the sign of Gemini. Especially in the first week of July, it will be tempting to dash off in a dozen directions at once. But where there is trouble through this week, it is likely better to stay with that trouble and curb the inner escape artists who would avoid a true ability to respond.
This conjunction also means that from July 3-5, the heat and speed of Mars will set off the evolutionary configuration of Uranus-Neptune-Pluto that’s pulsing through the anima mundi or Soul of the World from 2024 to 2030. The emphasis with Mars is on direct action, or perhaps an instinctual response to evolutionary pressures in our personal lives and around the world. Whether this activation from Mars plants a seed that later unfolds through Mars’ retrograde at the end of 2026, or brings forth a blatantly obvious and perhaps sudden or shocking turn of events, this cosmic influence correlates to far-reaching consequences.
Focusing on the Uranian part of the picture, Uranus always carries a dual possibility of impersonal acts of god or the empowerment of personal will, and sometimes both at once. The ways in which we need to revolutionize our lives are emphasized, whether that’s breaking with tradition, overthrowing unjust or unworkable restrictions, or simply updating our plans and how we carry out our missions in life.
Jupiter In Leo
Jupiter-Uranus-Neptune-Pluto
While a lot of us will be oriented toward near-term plans, much bigger-picture information and concerns may show up throughout July. Jupiter’s entry into the extroverted sign of Leo for the first time in 12 years (from June 29, 2026, to July 27, 2027) makes the extraordinary close alignment of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all the more extraordinary from July 4-31, when Jupiter forms an unusually close aspect pattern with all three outer planets. The more unusual and infrequent a planetary transit or configuration, the more significant it is, and this is a once in many hundreds of years lineup. While at its most exact from July 19-20, the Moon is also auspiciously triggering this alignment from the sign of Libra, which is concerned with balance and reciprocity.
A striking element of these outer planetary placements is how concerned with individuality each of the zodiac signs is. The mystical waters of Neptune pour through highly individualistic Aries, while eccentric Uranus electrifies the many individual faces of Gemini, as exalting Jupiter crowns the divine child of Leo, and the titanic power of Pluto plows through the unique and autonomous yet humanitarian sign of Aquarius.
The experience of individuality plays a critical role in all human and other-than-human relations, yet it is easily misplaced or dislocated. Whether the individual is elevated too high or unduly demoted, the woozy journey of psychological inflation and deflation has challenged many a spiritual seeker as well as many different societies and cultures. While July 2026 points to a large collective dynamic, the notion of an individual being is a crucial discovery process or a question we can all try to answer in our lives, our choices, our spiritual path, our relational path, and know that our experimentation ripples out to impact the larger world.
Jupiter Square Chiron
The stars suggest we are entering an era that will rapidly mature a new generation of elders, as challenging times can serve to draw forth the best within us. Reflecting on how to orient to the Soul’s call, we might consider whether any path that is laid out before us, neatly pre-determined step by step, is actually our path to follow. Jupiter square Chiron (July 1) provides a productive influence for reflecting on or outwardly acknowledging how we differ from our teachers, mentors, and formative influences.
Far from being merely professional relationships, these roles span the full spectrum of family and community. Jupiter’s square to Chiron may present a bifurcation on our path as a healer, a teacher, a mentor, and in taking up our own mantle in a mature way, or perhaps in welcoming our unique destiny as healer, teacher, or role model. In the words of the Earth elder Joanna Macy, “If the world is to be healed through human efforts, I am convinced it will be by ordinary people, people whose love for this life is even greater than their fear.”

Navigating Heightened Emotional & Psychic Sensitivity
For sensitive persons, enhanced psychic protections are suggested, especially near June 28th–July 2nd. Plus, the emotionally 'intense' or 'volatile' dates of July 4th–6th, and the Cancer New Moon of July 13th–14th. Those prone to low moods or psychic sensitivity may benefit from extra grounding practices during these times.
However, this month also includes many converse influences. Stimulating Mars and chaotic Uranus continue to overstimulate the nerves from Gemini (see June’s “Uranus Unleashed”). The Mars-Uranus conjunction of July 2nd–4th is hyper electrical, with effects lingering clearly through August 11th! Nervine and soothing herbs may soften this excitable transit for those experiencing physical tension or restlessness. And… giant Jupiter, our “king of the planetary pantheon,” entered Leo, sign of the heart, on June 29th!
Jupiter Enters Leo: A Shift Toward the Heart
Jupiter is joined in Leo by the all-important Lunar South Node on July 27th. This means that two of our most essential medical time clocks have changed signs! Leo governs the heart, whereas Cancer rules the pericardium – the heart’s elastic covering. By late month, our attention naturally turns toward heart-centered vitality and circulatory flow.
In traditional medical astrology, Jupiter’s Leo journey is thought to create a 'hot' or 'pressured' energetic climate for the heart or liver regions; whereas the South Node can feel like a softening or thinning of the energy associated with that sign.
The Sun increases this Leonine emphasis by entering Leo on July 22nd, joining Jupiter as the Moon enters the Leo-Aquarius “heart axis” from July 28th-30th. We now see the “turning of the spiral” as Sol’s life maintaining vital force reverses motion from centripetal (inward moving towards the center) to centrifugal (outward moving from the center)!
The above dates invite us to prioritize heart-centered care and general circulation. Astrologers often refer to this as a time for 'heart-tending' and focusing on overall ease and comfort. Learn more details in my Monthly Medical Astrology Report.

Jupiter in Leo is equally famous for producing hot, scorching weather! Leo is the hottest zodiac sign. Hot weather is hard on circulation. Common sense and hydration are essential for athletes and elderly folks active in hot weather around these dates.
Take a deep dive into medical Leo (and Cancer) in my class series ‘The Twelve Zodiac Sign Syndromes of Medical Astrology’ or in the likewise titled partner textbook. Learn how the noted personality of these signs parallels their physical functions. For instance, in Leo, the solar force (concentrated in the heart) commands outward from ego self-awareness like a monarch on a throne. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Mick Jagger, and Mae West are all prime examples! Note: In Leo, the vital force moves centrifugally (outward from the center) – quite opposite to the previous sign Cancer, where we experience the movement of the vital force towards the center!
