Layered Adaptogenic Smoothie with Blue Cloud

Layered Adaptogenic Smoothie with Blue Cloud

Four layers, one glass, zero shortcuts. Banana and peanut butter on the bottom, a hit of cold coffee in the middle, a quiet splash of nut milk, and a billowing Blue Cloud floating on top that looks like it shouldn't be edible but absolutely is. This is brunch-table theater dressed up as breakfast.

The trick is patience: pour each layer slowly, over the back of a spoon, and resist the urge to stir until you've taken a photo. Underneath the spectacle, though, this is a genuinely nourishing build. Chocolate Protein Powder disappears into the banana base for real, sustained fuel rather than a sugar spike. A teaspoon of Happiness Powder turns the cold coffee layer into something more grounding than a caffeine jolt.* And the Blue Cloud itself owes its otherworldly hue to Butterfly Pea Flower Powder, the same vivid botanical used in Ayurvedic calming rituals for centuries.*

We'll be making a spirulina sea moss gel to give the whole thing an additional boost of color and nourishment. If you keep a jar of plain sea moss gel in the fridge already, this is the moment to use it.

What Makes This Smoothie Special

Chocolate Protein Powder anchors the bottom layer. Built on pea, pumpkin seed, sacha inchi, and brown rice proteins with adaptogens like Suma, Maca, and Cordyceps, it's traditionally used to support stamina and recovery while delivering 15g of protein per serving.* It blends seamlessly into banana and peanut butter, no chalkiness, just rich cacao depth.

Happiness Powder turns the coffee layer into something more than a caffeine boost. This blend of Ashwagandha, Rhodiola, Mucuna, Albizia, and St. John's Wort is traditionally used to support mood and emotional well-being,* layered here with roasted dandelion and chicory for an earthy, coffee-like depth that complements espresso beautifully.

Butterfly Pea Flower Powder is responsible for the Blue Cloud's signature colour. Revered in Ayurveda as Anchan tea and traditionally used in devotional rituals for calm and clarity,* it's rich in anthocyanins and turns whipped coconut cream a striking, ethereal blue with nothing artificial involved.
