BLUE DREAM Valentine's Cocktail

BLUE DREAM Valentine's Cocktail

Think of this as your new favorite chill pill.

This is a powerfully relaxing yet euphoric mocktail. Made of botanicals more than anything else. Seed Lip is the "spirits" here, and it's an exquisite non-alcoholic distilled remedy inspired from The Art of Distillation written in 1651, which is now repurposed to pioneer a new category of drinks. It's pretty awesome. Yet if you don't have access to this, feel free to substitute by doing a really intensive infusion of the blue lotus in water. Use about 1heaping Tbsp of Blue Lotus per 2oz of hot water. You want the liquid to be dark so it gives it a strong punch. Yet, just as an fyi, the chill/euphoric factor won't be as strong as when extracted in a menstruum of sorts, non-alcoholic such as Seedlip, or alcohol based like Gin, Vodka, or similar. For those of you that don't mind a little alcohol you can infuse the blue lotus in your choice of spirits (a few hours, overnight, or even for longer for a truly strong punch). *Feel free to ask questions below and we'll be sure to help you get creative in the process.

This recipe is created by the amazing mixologist Sam, who owns a truly remarkable bar-restaurant that crafts garden to glass cocktails and spirit free elixirs in Sebastopol, California called Fern Barn. If you're ever in the area, please do yourself a favor and have a glorious night over there.  And, you can follow their magic here
