Ok, this is SO easy. Like truly, so easy. And every time we post it so many of you lovelies ask us HOW do we do it!? There are quite a few pro tips when it comes to doing excellent tasting, and colorful, latte's:
One tip I say over and over again, is NEVER use boiling water for the majority of herbs. Except for barks, some resins, mushrooms to remove the cell wall, and others, most herbs loose the subtlety of their flavor, and medicinal properties, when exposed to HIGH heat.
So for this precious rose powder, for example, be sure to never use high heat as you loose the magical properties. This also goes for our other beloved flower that so many of you love, Blue Lotus!
Another trick, with rose powder, is trying it cold. If you want to make this as an iced latte, just blend your milk with the rose powder, beet powder, and choice of sweetener, and it'll be heavenly, and vibrant!
Enjoy the magic and let us know if you like it!
Rose Milk
Recipe and photos by Sarah Vermelli of @sculptedkitchen
Servings 2
- 3 cups of Warm Oat milk (or choose of plant based milk)
- 1 Tbsp Rose Powder
- 1/2tsp Beet Powder
- 1tsp Mushroom Mocha Milk - for added creaminess (optional)
- 2tsp Maple Syrup (or choice of sweetener)
- 1/4tsp Vanilla powder (optional)
- 1/2tsp Cinnamon (optional)
Directions:
Blend all ingredients for 10-15 seconds, serve and enjoy immediately! Like we always say, "Sip in Prayer". Take a moment, breathe in the magic and savor the present moment.
Another option, is to add all of the ingredients to a small pot on the stove. With the burner on low heat, whisk the ingredients together until well combined. Serve right as the liquid begins to froth and steam.
