Ingredients:

  • 12-16 cups of water
  • 2-3 cups Mushrooms of your choice (lions mane mushrooms & shiitake are beneficial for immune system and brain health)
  • 1 cup chopped carrots or squash
  • 1 red onion, chopped
  • 1 head of garlic, cut in half
  • 3 strips of seaweed, about 1/2 Cup (any variety of seaweed you like)
  • 2 Tbsp ginger root
  • 1 cup fresh Nettle Leaf or 1/2 cup dried
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Gynostemma
  • 2 Tbsp Moringa powder
  • 1 Tbsp The Mind powder
  • 3 Tbsp Butterfly Pea Flower powder
  • 1 Tbsp salt (more to taste)
  • Squeeze of Lemon Juice for color, flavor and a dose of vitamin C
  • Optional: 1/4 cup dandelion root, 1/4 cup calendula flowers, coconut cream stirred into your cup for a blue mermaid broth treat, sprinkle of Blue lotus flowers at the end to support deep dreaming.

Directions:

1. In a large pot on the stove over medium heat mix all the ingredients except the Moringa powder, Butterfly Pea Flower powder and Mind powder. Wait to add the Blue Lotus and coconut cream if you are planning to add them.

2. Simmer everything with the lid tightly on for 1-2 hours, and then stir in the 3 powders: Mind, Moringa and Butterfly Pea flower. Simmer for 2 more minutes and turn off the heat leaving the lid on for 10 more minutes.

3. Strain the broth and add salt to taste. Squeeze lemon and stir in coconut cream for a delicious and colorful sipping broth.

4. Enjoy as a sipping broth in the morning or as a relaxing herbal broth at night.

*Save your veggie scraps and use them in your broths-this is a great way to use up "waste" in the kitchen, and the scraps are full of nutrients.
