In Ayurveda, Butterfly Pea Flower tea is called Anchan tea. It’s used in devotional ceremonies to represent protection, love and peace. It’s associated with the powerful Hindu goddess Aparajita (whose name means “the undefeated one”). In addition to having spiritual significance, Butterfly Pea is known for its antioxidants and pigments that allow it to naturally color foods and beverages.

Suggested Use: Add 1/4 tsp to your favorite tea, lemonade, favorite meal, bath, face mask and beyond.

Butterfly Pea Flower Focaccia 🦋🌸 A magical savory treat, a feast to the senses! Bring a little magic to your kitchen with this stunning focaccia infused with butterfly pea flower powder! Perfectly fluffy, lightly floral, and decorated to your heart’s content, it’s a feast for the eyes and taste buds. 🦋✨For you non-bakers, this is an easy one for you to trial and feel like the bread chef that you always wanted to be!! 🦋🍞Recipe by @mustloveherbs ✨Ingredients: - 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast - 2 tsp sugar - 1 1/3 cup warm water - 4 cups flour - 1 +/- Tbsp @animamundiherbals butterfly pea flower powder - 2 tsp kosher salt (+ more for topping) - 1/2 cup olive oil (+ more for greasing) - Desired edible toppings for decoration — ✨Instructions: 1. Prepare the Yeast Mixture Combine yeast, sugar, and warm water in a bowl. Stir gently and set aside. Allow the yeast to rest and become frothy (around 15 minutes). 2. Make the Dough - In a mixing bowl (preferably a stand mixer with a dough hook), add flour, salt, olive oil, and butterfly pea flower powder. Mix for about 30 seconds to incorporate the ingredients. - Slowly pour in the yeast mixture while the mixer is running. Once combined, increase speed to medium and mix for 5 minutes. - Turn off the mixer, scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl, and mix for another 5 minutes on medium. - While mixing, coat the sides and bottom of a large bowl with olive oil. Turn the dough into a ball and transfer it to the prepared bowl. Coat all sides of the dough with oil, cover, and let rest in a warm spot for 1 1/2 - 2 hours or until doubled in size. 3. Prepare the Pan and Shape the Dough 🫓 - Preheat oven to 400°F. - Grease the bottom of your preferred pan with olive oil. - Transfer the dough to the pan and gently stretch it to fit, touching the edges.
