DIY Aromatic Clay Diffusers with Essential Oils

DIY Aromatic Clay Diffusers with Essential Oils

These handmade clay diffusers are one of our favorite simple crafts: rustic, beautiful, and genuinely functional. Press air-dry clay into any shape you love, embed dried flower petals for texture, thread with twine, and add a few drops of your favorite essential oil. No heat, no electricity, no complicated equipment. Just clay, botanicals, and scent.

Hang them in a doorway, rest them on a shelf, tuck one into a drawer, or give them as gifts. Refresh the oil once a week and they'll quietly scent your space for months. We love them with crushed peony petals pressed into the surface for a soft, organic texture (though any dried botanical works beautifully).

Below, we've paired this project with four of our most beloved essential oils, each one chosen for the atmosphere it creates.

What Makes Our Essential Oils Special?

Our essential oils are sourced from the most pristine growing regions in the world, with a commitment to small-batch distillations for conscious consumers. Every oil we carry is organic, ethically wildcrafted, or sustainably cultivated: unadulterated, free of toxic solvents and diluting agents.

We directly support small farms and eco-projects that replant in the wild and produce genuinely clean oils. No fillers, no shortcuts. You can read more about our sourcing standards on our Essential Oils page.
