Women’s Circle: Healing through the Arts

Join us at the Brooklyn Apothecary on Wednesday March 5th at 7:00pm to gather in sisterhood and co-create sacred space through diving into our creative expression. During our circle we will be honoring our connection to the Earth Mother, retreating into ourselves to reclaim our humanity and our intuitive wisdom. We will be exploring mixed media collage, meditation, prayer and earth-based rituals to embody self-sovereignty. 

Together we will build a community medicine wheel and altar to honor our relation to Source, the Earth Mother, the Sacred 7 directions, our blood and spiritual lineage. Through guided meditation we will journey to illuminate an aspect of ourselves that is ready to be honored, accepted, and loved. The purpose of working with our Shadow is to walk a path of greater integrity and wholeness within ourselves. Working with the Shadow through our creative expression organically allows an alchemical process of transformation and transmutation to occur.

After the guided meditation we will create individual Soul Collage Cards that will represent an aspect or archetype within. This process will be led by your intuition and will be a creative meditation, in silence, in order to journey inwards as you create. Once the card is complete there will be time to journal about the images, symbols, colors and visuals that appear in your card.

There will be time to share the archetypes that appeared to see the connection within our collective of women. (optional) 

We will close our sacred space with prayer.

Each guest will leave with their personal Soul Card Collage and a creative ritual that can be incorporated into their healing practice.

Please bring an organic/ natural offering to the Medicine Wheel. (Cacao nibs, flowers, herbs, fruit, seeds, sage, cedar, palo santo, sweet grass, feathers, shells, stones/ rocks etc.)

Bianca Rose Dominguez is a NYC based artist, healing arts practitioner and art educator. Her artistic practice is driven by her devotion to the Great Mystery and she is led by her Ecuadorian and Puertorican ancestors. Her work reflects upon the fragmentation of human nature and the call to return to oneness with the earth and all-relations. She investigates the healing process through reclaiming ancestral memory and returning to earth-based ceremonial practices. Holistic healing is the thread within her work that weaves together artistic ritual, shadow work and embodiment practices. She believes when one surrenders to their inner creative expression, medicine awakens and the path of empowerment, profound healing, and self-illumination unfolds.
