Winter Solstice Ritual: Native Plant Wreath-Making

Join us on the Winter Solstice in an Earthly ritual to move in alignment with the rhythms of nature on Sunday, December 21st from 7-9pm at our Venice apothecary.

The evening ritual will move with a tea ceremony with native herbs and intentional wreath-making with native plants that can protect and bless our homes.

Wreaths traditionally have been made with specific plants to bless and protect a home, and through working with native plants that grow on the land around us, we also deepen our relationship with the land we inhabit. With a collective altar, we will set and uplift our intentions for the season together with the energy of the Winter Solstice.

The Winter Solstice is an energetic opening for us to align more deeply with the moving energies of the Earth as we go into a time of restoration. As we, too, are part of the cycles of nature, honoring this time and Earthly connection through ritual helps foster the conditions for personal and collective transformation.

What to know & bring:

• Optional flowers for the collective altar
• Dress in warm layers
• A pillow or blanket to sit on
• A journal and writing utensil

Paige Emery is a certified herbalist, initiated medicine woman, and devoted Earth steward sharing ways of being in relationship with plants. Her work spans teaching herbalism, guiding native plant walks, facilitating plant rituals, crafting herbal remedies, and offering plant sessions for herbal consultation and plant spirit healing. As a way of life, her practice is rooted in reverence and reciprocity with the Earth.
