Plant Spirit Medicine Journey SoHo

Date
Time

Join us at The Alchemist Kitchen Elixir Bar in SoHo on Sunday September 12th at 7pm for a plant medicine circle with cacao where we will explore an ancestral way of life in recognition of and reciprocity with the nat

We will explore an ancestral way of life in recognition of and reciprocity with the natural world. The reality in which all life possesses a spirit, a consciousness with which we may connect,  communicate, and be in relationship with. Acknowledging and engaging with these spirits brings a rich tapestry of gratitude, healing, peace, understanding, and fulfillment to our lives.

This looks different for everyone. It may be creating herbal remedies, gardening, an  appreciation for nature, making offerings, flower arrangements, altars, or ancestral  work. These all connect back to an innate desire we have as human beings to be in  relationship with the natural world.

Weaving breath-work, somatic psychotherapy, and ancestral practices we will  embark on a drum journey to our inner world where we will connect with the spirit  of cacao who may offer us support for our paths in this present moment.  In my time learning alongside the Maya Tztujil community, I have come to expand  my understanding of being in relationship with Cacao through my work with the  Cholq’ij, Lunar calendar. Each Nawal is connected to the energy of Cacao in it’s  own unique and profound manner, creating an intimate relationship between the  Mayan Cosmology and the plant intelligence of Cacao.

Their connection to Cacao spans over 5,000 years, during which time, they have  maintained a sacred relationship with the plant, energy, and spirit of Cacao. As a  student beginning to embody and integrate this ancient wisdom, I serve this  medicine in reciprocity with, recognition of, and reverence to-my teachers, the  Mayan Cosmology, Community, and Culture.
