Plant meditation with Cacao

Date
Time

Join us at the Alchemist Kitchen Elixir bar in SoHo on Sunday May 17th at 6:30pm for a plant meditation with cacao as we explore the ideas of transformation and balance, informed by the Mayan Lunar calendar.

In this workshop we will receive the medicine of ceremonial cacao in observation  of the Mayan Lunar calendar or Cholq’ij. In attunement with this living calendar,  we are present under the energies of 11 Tz’ikin, a force which calls forth the  regenerative powers of transformation through a shift in perspective.  Together we will explore our potential for healing ancestral trauma through self regulating breathwork, somatic practices, eco-therapy, and Internal Family Systems.  Coming together in ceremony is an ancient tradition which weaves, intention,  togetherness, cosmological alignment, and deeper resonance, presenting  opportunities for authentic engagement and healing through the wisdom of  ancestral practices and human spirituality.

Cacao is a medicine held sacred by the Maya whose connection to this plant spans  over 5,000 years, during which time, they have cultivated a profound relationship  with the energy and spirit of Cacao. They receive her as an offering brought forth  from another dimension, we receive this medicine in recognition of and reverence  to the Mayan Cosmology, Community, and Culture.
