"I have been using Pau D'Arco for about 1-1. 5 years now. I am prone to getting cold sores fairly frequently, especially in the winter time but they usually appear any time the seasons change or when I'm especially stressed. Hi there, This is a great question. We have been working with our suppliers in Peru for many years now, and we trust them! They are a small operation that wildcrafts the Pau D'Arco in compliance with local authorities, and when it's exported to the US there are traceability documents and a certificate of analysis. Can this supplement be taken daily long term?
If taken daily, we recommend stopping the use of an herb at around 6 weeks, as that's a general law with medicinal herbs that most practitioners suggest (either stopping for a couple weeks, or changing the formula to uplift the body differently based on results/effects noticed). Dosage will always depends on the conditions you wish to treat - for acute symptoms we recommend 2-3x day. For daily toning, we recommend 1-2x day.
