New Moon Sound Ceremony with Taylor Ann Trad — October 13th

Be with us on Tuesday, October 13th from 7:00pm to 8:30pm for a 90-minute ceremony of tea, breath, sound, and stillness in Venice.

Three nights ago, a New Moon rose in Libra. Tonight, the first sliver of light returns. The seed has been planted. Now it's asking where to grow.

Venus is retrograde in Scorpio this month, a turning-inward that comes only every year and a half. Scorpio doesn't do surface. It asks what you actually want. Not what you're supposed to want. Not what you've learned to settle for. The thing underneath.

And just before we begin, the Moon crosses into Sagittarius, the archer. Scorpio finds the desire. Sagittarius aims it.

Most of us know exactly what we want at 2am, and talk ourselves out of it by breakfast. We call it being realistic. We call it timing. We file it under someday, and someday stays very busy.

Knowing what you want and letting yourself want it are not the same thing.

Tonight is for letting yourself want it.

We begin with herbal tea, phones away, a warm cup and a moment to arrive. Breathwork clears what's been sitting in the body. A guided visualization takes you down to what's actually there. Journaling gives it words. Then you name one clear intention, your arrow, and a full immersive sound meditation carries it out into the cycle ahead.

The group will sit with the question: What do I want that I haven't let myself say out loud?

This is the first of two October ceremonies. Tonight we find what we truly want and take aim. On October 25th, under a moon at its fullest, we see what's worth keeping.

Nothing is handed to us this month. The light is the light we make. Come draw the bow.
