Wonderful Quality

"I have been using the mugwort in a hot tea at night with clove and blue lotus. The quality is amazing and it doesn't have an overpowering taste but really grounds the overall flavor of the tea."

Disappointing order -- will not shop here again (for Mugwort, at leas)

"I purchased Mugwort from Anima Mundi. I've had trouble finding good organic mugwort that has the characteristic aroma and look of Mugwort. One of the main organic suppliers sells what appears to me to be the entire plant, dried and chopped up -- it has no smell and has the texture and appearance of grass clippings. The only flavor in teas made from this product is a weak vegetal taste (nothing like the strong bitterness of Mugwort, which I love) and the sleep/dream effects of this product are extremely limited as well. Upon looking at the image on Anima Mundi's website, I was very excited to order organic mugwort from your apothecary -- the image on the site showed whole, dried leaves, similar to what I would collect on my own during the growing season. I eagerly awaited the arrival of my order, which came extremely late despite me paying for expedited shipping. (The shipping went about as fast as expected; the order seemed late to get out from the shop). Imagine my disappointment when I opened my package and found to my surprise, not mugwort with the appearance of the image as advertised, but rather, the same old grass clipping quality that I had hoped to avoid by purchasing from another provider. I can only suspect that Anima Mundi purchases their herbs in bulk from this supplier (no problem there), but I was extremely disappointed that the advertising imaging that they use did not match the product (which the actual producer & distributor of the product does). For me, Mugwort is essential in my sleep support. I find that the inferior quality product I obtained from Anima Mundi simply does not provide the medicinal benefits of Mugwort I collect myself, or Mugwort I've ordered from other organic suppliers. I feel that my money was not well spent -- indeed, I feel that it was wasted. I also ordered Chamomille from Anima Mundi. I have yet to use it, but am much more confident about the quality of the product. It smells like an actual herb, not just like vague green plants."
