Cacao Circle: Heart Mind Coherence

Join us at the Brooklyn Apothecary on Wednesday July 8th at 7pm for a plant medicine circle with cacao, where we will commune and connect to all parts of Self.

During this summer of retrograde transits we are being invited to examine and reflect upon our current life experience. Discerning what no longer feels in alignment, while making space for what does, we come into the awareness of our present state of being. As cultivators of consciousness, we are nourishing our soil in order to plant the seeds of change. 

Cacao is an incredible ally for these times of grounding and expansion, supporting us to feel through the coherence of heart and mind, we become regulated in sync with the natural vibrations of Mother Earth. In the Mayan Lunar calendar, we are present under the energy of 11 Kej, the deer, which represents leadership, integrity, and multidimensional awareness. Incorporating modern practices in attunement with ancestral medicines, we will explore nervous system regulation, ecotherapy, aromatherapy, and breathwork, using the frameworks of Hakomi and IFS psychotherapy, penetrating the layers of parts as we come into alignment with the energy of Self.

Cacao is a medicine held sacred by the Maya whose connection to this plant spans over 5,000 years, during which time, they have cultivated a profound relationship with the energy and spirit of Cacao. They receive her as an offering brought forth from another dimension. As a humble student beginning to integrate this ancient wisdom, I serve this medicine in full recognition of and reverence to my teachers, Mayan Cosmology, Community, and Culture.

Suggestions:
*Please come dressed comfortably, bringing water, a journal, & pen.
*Do not consume caffeinated beverage for 4-6 hours prior to the event.
*When possible and not limited by personal dietary restrictions please do not eat right before the event, leaving space anywhere from 2 hrs-90 mins prior in order to best receive the medicine.

Rose has been serving Cacao for 6 years and is currently studying alongside a Maya family and community of the Tz’utujil and K’iche’ communities of Guatemala, it is with permission, humility, honor, gratitude, and reverence that she shares the little she has learned in her time walking alongside, as a student.
