Ancestral Medicine for Healing and Liberation

Sit down for an ancestral workshop on Saturday, June 20th from 3:30-5pm in our Venice apothecary.

We carry more than DNA—we carry the wisdom and the wounds of those who came before us. Join Traditional Spirit Medium and Orisha Priest Angela Cruz, for an intimate exploration of ancestral medicine and spiritual connection. In this workshop, you will learn foundational concepts and practices of ancestral veneration—from building sacred altars and making offerings to understanding how ancestral wisdom can support your health, career, relationships, purpose, and path to liberation. This is more than a workshop— it is an invitation to strengthen our relationship with our blood lineage to empower us in our daily lives and keep us in alignment with our destiny.

Guests encouraged to bring a journal or notebook to take notes. You are also welcome to bring items that represent your Ancestors to add to our collective Ancestor Altar (e.g. photographs (with only those in it that have transitioned), an item of theirs (e.g. necklace, ring, scarf, etc), things they may have liked (e.g. favorite dessert, candies, cigar, soda).

About Angela

Angela is a descendant of Visayan and Gaddang lineages of the Philippines and born into a lineage of healers and spirit mediums. With over two decades of practice, she has been initiated as a Spirit Medium in the Chivanhu tradition of the Shona people, an Olorisha in Lucumi, a Yayi in Palo Monte, and has received empowerments through the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition. Angela cultivates conscious and diverse spaces to honor ancestral wisdom, and believes that reconnecting to traditional cultural practices opens pathways to healing, empowerment, and liberation.
