Holiday Ornament Making Workshop

Join us at the Brooklyn Apothecary on Wednesday December 4th at 7pm to learn the art of making "Bombki" aka decorative artichoke ornaments for the holidays. Nourish your creativity, learn a new skill and walk away with something beautiful! 

In this workshop, you will learn how to make a unique style of ornament known as Artichoke Ornaments (Bombki Karczochy in Polish). With the use of material ribbon, steal pins and a styrofoam ball, you will walk away with a very unique and beautiful decoration that will brighten your holiday’s for years to come. They make fantastic gifts too!

Julia learned how to make these “Bombki” from her maternal grandmother almost a decade ago when she was in Poland for Christmas for the first time. With Grandma's blessing, Julia is so excited to be sharing this gift with you.

Julia Partyka is an artist, teacher and sensitive intuitive who blends her pulse of the subtle and love for the mundane into creatively curious ways. A lover of creating, she has always loved creating with her hands from weavings, to gathering leaves, to costumes and props, to the ornaments.
