FALL ORGANS 🍂🫚✨ screenshot this! Important details to thrive and stay resilient. Inspired from traditional Chinese medicine to stay aligned to the energetics of Fall 🫚🍂 The once vibrant summer hues give way to autumn’s rich, earthy palette. The trees are preparing to dazzle us with their golden colors before settling into the quiet stillness of winter. This seasonal shift invites us to transition from the carefree, outward energy of summer to a time of reflection and introspection. ✨🍂🐛In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), each season corresponds to one of the five elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Autumn is aligned with the Metal ⚙️element, which governs the lungs 🫁 and large intestine, as well as the emotion of grief. The Metal element also symbolizes clarity, strength, boundaries, and the art of letting go—mirroring the natural cycles of life and death.🌫️ As the days shorten and the air cools, we’re often called to confront various forms of loss—whether personal, relational, or collective. TCM teaches us that grief is a natural part of life, not something to fear but rather to embrace. On a physical level, the health of the lungs 🫁and large intestine is essential to navigating this emotional terrain. When these organs function optimally, we’re able to process grief more fully, transforming painful experiences into wisdom. However, imbalances in these organs can manifest as respiratory issues, digestive discomfort, or feelings of emotional stagnation. 🍂🌹Dry weather may lead to dryness in the lungs and large intestine, causing constipation, dry stools, nasal / respiratory congestion. Check out our recent write up and deep dive on corresponding organs + wellness practices and herbs to support slowing down, setting boundaries, and releasing what’s no longer needed. 📖Find via bio and stories May you create opportunities for new growth and deeper connections as you move inward this fall. Why does the earthy embrace of fall’s brown-hued flora ground and soothe the soul? 🍂🤎 Could it be that the subtle depth of the color brown has its own psychological and emotional resonance? Rooted in the essence of the earth, brown symbolizes stability, support, and groundedness. It reflects nature’s cycle of renewal and fortitude, harnessing the healing energies of the natural world. Research suggests that brown tones can foster a sense of security and calm, making them ideal for creating serene spaces that nurture mindfulness and introspection. From lighter tan to rich mahogany, each shade of brown brings its own unique energy. While lighter browns can evoke simplicity and warmth, deeper browns often convey a sense of strength and permanence. These perceptions are deeply influenced by personal and cultural contexts—brown might remind us of comfort and reliability (think: cozy homes and autumn leaves), or it might symbolize stability and growth (wooden structures, sacred grounds). Herbal wisdom behind the hues: 🍂 Light Brown: Oat Straw and Marshmallow Root offer gentle nourishment and grounding, promoting tranquility and resilience. 🍂 Tan: Plantain and Burdock Root aid in detoxification and internal balance, supporting overall well-being and stability. 🤎 Medium Brown: Cinnamon and Reishi Mushroom bring warmth and vitality, encouraging deep connection and renewal. 🤎 Dark Brown: Astragalus and Dong Quai provide strength and endurance, fostering fortitude and deep healing. 🍂 Earthy Brown: Valerian Root and Licorice Root soothe stress and enhance inner calm, creating a sanctuary of peace and balance. What emotions do these grounding shades evoke for you?✨ #brown #earthtones #colorpsychology #herbalism #grounding #stability
