On December 4, the third and final Supermoon of 2025 will appear to be full for several days, thanks to an increase in both brightness and proximity. The emotional high tides pulled by this Gemini Full Moon can help us be braver in facing whatever important truths emerge as false beliefs melt away in the light of new awareness.
Thoreau’s observation that “It takes two to speak the truth: one to speak, and another to hear” may describe how many of us experience this lunation!
Due to the messenger of the deities, Mercury, moving from about December 4 to 14, we can tap into holistic forms of awareness to receive guidance through the significant transformations of the following year. Tarot or oracle decks, drum or crystal bowl journeys under the guidance and protection of our spiritual guardians, guided meditations, or conversations with plants, animals, and minerals are all examples of sacred technologies resonant with this time period.
The excitement around the unusual interstellar Comet 3i/ATLAS continues to build, and we should see some surprising revelations on December 10, when Mercury opposes Uranus for the third and final time in their final retrograde period of 2025. The startling information indicated by the Mercury-Uranus configuration will undoubtedly be of a terrestrial nature, too.

Full Moon in Gemini: Sky Perspectives
The Full Moon in Gemini rises on December 4, exactly opposing the Sagittarius Sun at 3:14 pm US/Pacific and making a stressful square aspect to the nodes of the Moon that suggests an unraveling of misplaced faith. As issues around trust and belief could be stirred up in our own lives or in the environment around us, many of us may feel compelled to challenge others (or perhaps ourselves) to be real or to stop with the nonsense.
The interplay of social agreements (Venus) and boundary crossing or protection (Mars) will take center stage for much of the sky story at the end of December 2025 and beginning of January 2026. We might note what occurs under the Gemini Full Moon as it draws together Venus and Mars, and may foreshadow events to come during that later time frame.
Powerful connections between Venus and Mars tend to generate discussions of fidelity, correlating to great attraction and great repulsion, as well as arguments about our agreements or an eagerness to establish new ones. Implicit assumptions unconsciously embedded in our relationships may suddenly come to light, revealing we are not on the same page about important topics.
Mercury in Scorpio and Sagittarius
A planet so key to conscious awareness, Mercury, is said to rule the Full Moon in Gemini. Mercury is currently plying the deep intuitive waters of Scorpio (November 18 to December 11), whetting our appetite for hidden information and making us more receptive to our intuitive perceptions. Particularly with the stability of its harmonious grand trine aspect with the planets Jupiter and Saturn (exact December 6-7), we could make significant progress on whatever Mercury’s retrograde period has turned up for us to revisit, rework, or reconsider. Particularly where we have had an overhaul to our plans, this influence bodes well for finding and building a good path forward.
We could also draw heavily from mystical wells from December 4 through December 14 when the cosmos forms a crucible well-suited to visioning, re-imagining, and journeying deep into the imaginal realms for connection with higher spiritual guidance and protection. Whether we have a deep relationship with our intuition or this is a first attempt at contact with the spiritual guidance and protection we all have, this is an excellent time to tap into higher knowledge and wisdom.
Mars Square Saturn-Neptune
At the same time, we may also need to account for opposition or countervailing forces in the picture, as the drive of Mars makes a tense square aspect with the delays of Saturn (exact December 8) and the difficulties finding direction inherent in Neptune (exact December 14). A lot like the Gemini Full Moon’s call to be real, we could benefit from accepting whatever reality check this influence signals for our ambitions. It could mean recognizing how long the road ahead is, what dead weight must be cut to make our journey easier, or deepening our sources of enthusiasm, inspiration, and capacity to persist. Be wary of missing opportunities to expand or thrive in different areas of life by obsessing over moving quickly on other fronts.
Venus in Sagittarius
Venus Square Saturn-Neptune
Meanwhile, the graceful charms of Venus remind us to keep our eye on the vision and to appreciate the big picture so that obstacles or irritations don’t totally distract us. Optimistic, generous, and craving honesty and truth in relationships, Venus’ expansion of the heart urges us to be bolder. Our love of learning and philosophy, adventure, and romance can carry us far while Venus traverses Sagittarius from November 30 to December 24.
As Venus approaches the dynamic skies that characterize year’s end, she makes a challenging square aspect to Saturn-Neptune (exact December 20-23). Some of December’s explorations, motivated by a love of truth, knowledge, learning, and simple adventure, are likely to be sorted into what is valuable and real and what is a distraction or not worth continuing to pursue.
Saturn Conjuncts Neptune
Comet 3i/ATLAS
The crucial conjunction of Saturn and Neptune occurs next February at the very beginning of the tropical zodiac, 0° Aries, a potent symbol of the depth of consciousness evolution rippling through our solar system now. This curiously coincides with the arrival of an interstellar object known as Comet 3i/ATLAS, only the third interstellar visitor ever detected in our solar system since 2017. Such an anomalous visitor is yet another potent symbol for the breadth and depth of evolution underway now.
If the adage as above, so below holds, then we are accelerating towards a much more expanded cosmology. The appearance of our solar system’s comets was thought to be heralds of political change, and interstellar visitors may just be the herald of a more profound cosmological change, an evolution of our story of who and what a human being is, and what our role in the cosmos is.
As consciousness itself becomes much more fundamental to how we understand and interact with reality, our natural psychic abilities should also play a role. We might expect our material sense perceptions to be more readily accessed, welcomed, and appreciated in their spiritual dimensions, known as clair-senses. Psi abilities such as clairsentience (clear feeling), claircognition (clear knowing), clairvoyance (clear seeing), and all the other clair-senses may at last be re-admitted into the understanding of what it means to be human, and what it means to be in kinship and in communication with all of life—terrestrial, interstellar, and otherwise.
