parasite cleansing faq's

Q: What are parasites and why is it important to be aware of them?

A: Parasites are organisms that live in or on a host and depend on that host for survival. While they serve important ecological roles in nature, certain types of parasites can inhabit the human body and may contribute to imbalances—particularly when digestive or immune function is compromised.

Our Parasite Defense Kit is formulated to support a healthy gut environment with time-honored herbs traditionally used to promote internal clarity and balance. It may be a valuable addition to a seasonal reset or part of a broader wellness routine.

Q: How do I know if I have a parasite?

A: Here are some signs that have been associated with parasitic imbalance:

  • Intermittent digestive issues (e.g. bloating, gas, loose stools, or constipation)
  • Persistent fatigue or low energy
  • Skin changes such as rashes, hives, or itchiness
  • Sleep disturbances, including teeth grinding
  • Shifts in appetite or sugar cravings
  • Brain fog or mood fluctuations

These signs are not diagnostic, and many factors can contribute to them. However, if you’ve addressed other potential causes and symptoms, it may be worth discussing parasite screening with a qualified healthcare practitioner.

Q: How long should I do the Parasite Cleanse?

A: A: The length of your cleanse depends on your goals, lifestyle, and how your body responds. Here are a few pathways to consider:

Gentle Maintenance (3–5 days | 4–6 capsules daily):

  • Ideal for seasonal clearing or light support
  • Option 1: 1–2 consecutive days, once per week for a month
  • Option 2: 3–5 consecutive days, once per month
  • Tip: Stick to mostly liquids on single-day cleanses for extra ease

Deeper Reset (6–12 days | 4–6 capsules daily):

  • 6 days, twice per year for a moderate reset
  • 8–12 days, once per year for a deeper reboot

Q: Are the Gut Sweep Tea and Parasite Defense Capsules safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

A: We do not recommend using parasite cleansing products while pregnant or breastfeeding. If you suspect a parasitic imbalance or need support during this time, please consult with a qualified healthcare provider.

Para-Defense Kit

"I've been putting off a parasite cleanse for years. Something told me to try this kit from Anima Mundi. My naturopath told me to bring it in before using to be tested on all the products. After testing she gave me the thumbs up on all the products and said my body likes them. I did the 10 day cleanse with ease. I thought it would be much rougher than it was. The first 5 days had the most noticeable detox side affects. After that, I slept better and felt way better than I have in years with much more energy. I even purchased more fit sweep, bitters, and Para defense liquid to use again soon. Thanks Anima Mundi for such a great offering. I loved the ideas for meal prep. Those recipes I feel kept me on track. ❤️"

I took this along with

"I took this along with the capsules, and let me tell you, they work. I never did a parasite cleanse before. My skin has been itching for a while, I haven't changed any products no allergies. The lotion and body wash I use are for itchy skin, been using them for years. On the third day, as in everyday, I looked after I went to the bathroom and there it was a long white parasite in my, well, you know. I was really disgusted. The next 2 days after that, I saw really small parasites in my, well, you know. I am glad I found this product when I registered for the Herbal Academy Conference. My skin stopped itching!"

Great way to support the gut

"This is a nice way to maintain a healthy metabolism and support the elimination of parasites in the gut. The ingredient profile is similar to the Parasite Defense capsules, which I think is superior. I'm looking forward to using this as a preventive measure on a seasonal basis."

— Gabriel C. (5/5)

Great product

"Been working great for my parasite cleanse!"

— Jessica K. (5/5)

Potent

"I love bitters and usually stick to using the ones my rastafarian friends in Jamaica make. Since I've trusted & used previous A. M. products with satisfaction, I gave this new product a try. Today is only my 2nd day taking it but I love its potency and taste."

— Lady J. (5/5)

— Cora W. (5/5)

Parasite cleanse

"After doing the anima mundi parasite cleanse I now have the best digestion I’ve had in YEARS. I literally couldn’t hold my bowel movements at times before, which now I’m assuming was all parasite related. Will definitely be doing it again."

— Bridgette D. (5/5)
