Pláticas y Plantitas: A Two Day Workshop

Join us for a transformative weekend exploring the foundations of healing through an ancestral perspective. This two-day event will take place on Saturday, January 25th, from 11am to 1pm, and Sunday, January 26th, from 11am to 1pm at our cozy Venice Apothecary. Please note that attendance on both days is essential, as each session builds on the other to provide a complete and enriching experience. We look forward to sharing this journey with you!

You will learn about the human energy field, energy centers, the aura, illness and imbalances from an energetic perspective, how to asses your own energy field and that of others. You will learn how to work with plants, botanical elements and ancestral/traditional healing techniques to clear and balance the energy field. Students will also learn how to craft their own "Agua Florida" (Flower Water) and perform "Barridas" - sweeping of the body and auric field with plants in order to restore balance and harmony within the energetic body. All within a loving container surrounded by community that wants to learn and support your journey!

Guests Recommended to Bring: Notebook, pen, color pencils, water bottle, loose comfortable clothing. Any essential oils they feel guided to bring and share. If you feel guided to, bring a small to medium bundle of harvested herbs from your garden or neighborhood that you feel called to invite. 

Madre Jaguar is a Birth Doula, Oracle and Curandera of Mayan, Pipil, Nahual and Garifuna descent. Born in Los Angeles, CA to Salvadoran immigrants and raised in Mexico, Madre Jaguar has always walked between the worlds. Their practice is rooted in their ancestral heritage and indigenous traditions of the Anahuac. Nature was their first teacher. Most of their childhood was spent observing and studying the cycles and seasons of Earth, connecting and experimenting with the energy of the elements, animals, herbs, plants, flowers, rocks, crystals and beings seen and unseen. As an adult, a passion for helping others and a strong desire to help propel positive change in the world, led Madre Jaguar on a path of self-discovery and exploration of different healing modalities including Reiki, Traditional Mexican Medicine, Energy Healing, Folk Magic, Womb Wisdom and Herbalism. They have studied with indigenous healers and teachers in Mexico, Central and South America.
