Connect with the people of the Huni Kuin and ground into the new year with a sacred Hapé ceremony Thursday, January 16th from 7pm-9pm at our Venice Garden.

Working with Master Huni Kuin Teachers - Tuim Nova Era and Yeke Huni Kuin, plus Maestro Abraham Lozonobrioso - we share in magical storytelling, songs, and medicine of the Amazon.

We will start the night with traditional prayers and music of the Huni Kuin People, as we convene around the fire. Tuim and Yeke will speak about the traditions of their people and share one of their most sacred medicines - Hapé.

This is the first travel into Los Angeles for Tuim and Yeke. They are mystical and magical, and it is a rare event to host such masters.

Chief Tuim Nova Era of the Huni Kuin tribe, Chief and leader of Espelho da Vida a village deep within the Amazon Rainforest. Tuim is a ceremony carrier; application of jenipapo body paint and dance of the Katxanawa (ritual of abundance and fertility). He is an eternal student of the plants and chants of his people. 

Yeke Huni Kuin daughter of Chief Tuim is a an apprentice of the sacred chants of her people. Student of traditional medicines and plant dietas. Yeke is President of the Kaxinawa woman Association and has been serving her village from a very young age. 

Abraham is a bridge between worlds with unique skill and intuition. Abraham has been traversing our planet, in service to Spirit; sharing ancestral knowledge gained through direct apprenticeship, personal dietas and studies with a host of Tribal Elders, Maestros, Pajes and Chiefs. A practitioner who carries a high level of integrity and clarity.
