Cleansing Lemonade

Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

For Basil Syrup

  • 1/2 c basil
  • 1Tbsp Chanca Piedra
  • 1/2 c water
  • 1/4 c raw sugar
  • coconut sugar or even honey!

For Lemonade

  • 3-5 lemons
  • 1 L water
  • 1/4 c coconut or raw sugar

DIRECTIONS:
BASIL SYRUP - Wash basil and add to a saucepan with water and the sugar. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 10 minutes. Turn off the flame and leave the basil to infuse for 30-40 min more before removing it.
LEMONADE - Wash and cut the lemons in pieces to remove all the seeds. In a bowl mix the lemons, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Add the mixture to a food processor and blend until completely mixed. Drain the mixture through a sieve over a bowl, then press through as much juice as you can. You can add as much basil syrup as you like to make the lemonade more herbaceous and interesting.
