6 parts lemon balm leaf
4 parts chamomile flowers
4 parts rose petals
3 parts calendula flowers
3 parts comfrey leaf
1 part lemon peel
1 part rosemary leaf
Apple cider vinegar (amount will vary depending on the container used)
Rose Water (see page TK) or witch hazel extract (amount will vary depending on the container used)
Essential oil of your choice
Place all the herbs in a glass jar. Add enough vinegar to cover the herbs by 2–3 inches. Place the lid on the jar and let sit in a warm spot for 2–3 weeks.
Strain the herbs, and keep the liquid. For each cup of liquid, add 1⁄2–1 cup of rose water or witch hazel extract. If desired, you can add a drop or two of essential oil. Store the liquid in a glass container with a lid; it will keep indefinitely without refrigeration.
To use as a facial toner, you can apply it with a cotton ball or use it in a mister bottle to spray directly onto the face or over the body.
*If desired, use vodka instead of Apple Cider Vinegar to create a body splash or perfume rather than a facial toner. Or, you can use Witch Hazel extract in place of the vinegar if you prefer a facial toner without the vinegary scent.
